This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Help our future generation learn to read and understand mathematics. The students in my classroom need encouragement to learn. Some of my children are one or even two grade levels behind in math and reading. When they are given technology, they are more eager to learn.
My children attend a title I school.
This is a very low income school and area. The students want to learn and love using computers, iPods, and tablets. The students need any extra support with their academics in order to get them on grade level. My kids are wonderful students who really work hard. They just need a little extra support and love.
My Project
I am requesting three tablets for my students to work with daily. I would love to have a class set, but we will start with baby steps. I want my students to use these tablets to get on learning apps. There are tons of math and reading apps that my children will be using to increase reading and math levels. The students can also use the tablet for research and writing. The students love the technology because they are learning and using items they do not have access to at home.
This project is very important to my children!
I really want my kids to become better readers and increase their math skills. They love the technology. This request will make a difference in educating children who are behind and my students who are on level. I know, with your donations, we can make a difference in my classroom and in their lives.
