My students need a working computer! We use computers daily during math, writing, and literacy stations. They also take their reading test online each week.

Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Have you ever worked on a computer older than a dinosaur? My students have! We need a dependable, working laptop to engage students in learning activities.
My students are brilliant, inquisitive, digital natives!
They intuitively know how to navigate every technology project with which I challenge them.
My elementary students come from a rural area. Half of my students are eligible for government assisted free or reduced lunch. Our school is just above the cutoff for Title-One funding, so we don't have many resources. I love using project-based learning; this approach engages the students in a dynamic way. My rural students need technology to help them become global citizens!
My Project
I am trying to incorporate more technology into our lessons, but it is incredibly difficult using our ancient hand-me down computers! The computers will shut off for no reason in the middle of a lesson, or take five minutes to load a single webpage (we have excellent high-speed wireless; it's the faulty computer). Students will do project based activities where they create videos teaching others about what they have researched. We will blog and do book reviews online. We also will collaborate with other classes from around the world on Google Hangouts.
Students need a way to research, create presentations, and connect with other students from around the globe.
The students would use the laptop every day in workstations and partner projects. Help our class be successful every day with a Chromebook!
