My students are extremely enthusiastic about learning!
I teach a dynamic group of kindergarten students in an
extremely diverse school, in Brooklyn, NY.
My students love reading funny stories, writing, creating art, building, dancing, singing, playing math games, and our class mascot, Pete the Cat. They especially love pretending to cook at our dramatic play center.
My Project
We are going on a trip to a local pizzeria next month. We will learn how to cook our own pizza pies! I know my students will adore this experience. I would like to enrich their learning with books about pizza that I can read prior to the trip. After the trip, I would love for my students to have a pizza sticker book, so they can create their own sticker pizza pies! I would love to add a felt pizza kit to our dramatic play center. I know my students will have fun cooking up pretend pizza. We also could use dry erase markers for literacy activities.
