Students are more active than ever and I need reading activities to keep them interested and learning at all times. These hands-on activities are just the answer to their need! Keeping the children stimulated keeps them focused so I may work with a small group to nurture their love of reading!
Our school is a family!
We start with PreK all the way to eighth grade! I get to see the students grow into small adults and graduate to high school. Even though we are a Title I school, we have met success with our students. We work very hard as a Team of Teachers to meet the needs of all students: those who struggle and those who succeed. I have such trust in our school that I open enroll my own five children!
My Project
These resources hit a variety of skills needed for learning to read. The reading chart will display the genre and comprehension skill we are working on, along with their vocabulary and spelling words. The hands-on centers are made of sturdy materials that will last a long time and they are very colorful and child inviting. I know that the students will be learning their sight words and improving their fluency all the while they are having fun! Wouldn't you want your child learning that way?
Reading is a passion of mine!
I was a first grader that almost got held back until my teacher and parents inspired me with the love of reading. I want to do that for all my students. I don't want anyone going to second grade not being able to read.
