ABC! 123! We have some very excited Pre-schoolers ready to learn these concepts!
Our high school has a child development class that runs a pre-school lab.
Most of the teens enrolled in the program are aspiring teachers who learn how to plan engaging lessons and activities for the children. We also have a large number of special education students who can also benefit from extra help using the concept books.
My Project
My students need about two dozen concept books Such as eight Shapes books, Music, Sports,Circles, Triangles and more such as Big and Small, Fast and Slow, High and Low, to teach Pre-schoolers during child development class and for my life skills teachers to use with the Special Education students. The resources that I am requesting are concept books to help high school students teach the Preschoolers numbers, the alphabet, shapes and other basic concepts. The library has a small easy book collection that isn't meeting the needs of the older students as they plan their lessons. The classroom library is made up of mostly donated materials and also doesn't contain the academic materials needed for instruction. The books on our list are fun, engaging and age appropriate to get the Pre-schoolers excited about learning.
These books will encourage young learners, aspiring teachers, and aid in the instruction of Special Education students.
They will also make learning letters, numbers, shapes and other concepts easier and, most importantly, fun!
