Have you ever sat on a cold, title floor? If you have, you know how uncomfortable it can be! Our school has replaced all of our carpeting in our classrooms with tile. My students dread Calendar time because they hate to sit on the cold flooring.
I have a class of wonderful second graders!
Each child is unique in his or her own way. My students enjoy learning as much as I love teaching them! For a child to want to learn, he needs to be comfortable in his classroom setting. What better way to be comfortable than a big and soft classroom rug?! This rug would benefit each child in a variety of ways. Whether it is used for a comfy spot to read, or a good space to spread out a phonics game. The uses are endless!
My Project
With the purchase of a new classroom seating rug, my students will be able to enjoy reading books comfortably with the opportunity to lounge out! My students will also be able to sit comfortable on the floor during our Calendar and Meeting times. Also, the bright and vivid colors that are displayed in the decor of the rug will create a warm and welcoming ambiance in our classroom.
As mentioned before, a child needs to be comfortable in a classroom setting in order for him or her to learn.
With this rug, my students will be able to use this space for a variety of subjects. They can snuggle down and fall in love with a book. They can work with math manipulatives and increase their understanding of a math concept.
