Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
What could be more fun than learning your ABCs with fun animal movements and pictures to help you learn and retain new concepts?
Become an Alligator when learning the letter A, or a Cat when learning the letter C. Help us let our imaginations run wild while we learn our ABCs!
My students are ages 3-6 years.
I teach a preschool special education class located on an elementary school campus. Most of my students have severe language delays, and many are nonverbal. My students have disabilities ranging from autism, genetic syndromes, or speech and language impairments. They need lots of hands-on, multi-modal teaching materials.
My Project
The materials I am requesting are part of a kit designed to help preschool students learn phonics. The kit employs visual, auditory, and kinesthetic sensory input to help make reading development easier for students that have a difficult time retaining only visual or rote knowledge. We will use these materials, songs, letter cards, and copy materials for daily practice in the classroom.
My project will have a huge impact on my students because most have such a difficult time learning basic pre-reading skills with just the visual and oral repetitive practice.
They need multi-sensory materials so they can move, sing, see, and feel the new concepts they are learning. Please help us find a new fun way to learn our ABCs!
