A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Have you ever sat in a class, learning about social studies, and thought, "This is so boring!" or "Why do I need to learn about this?" Many of my students groan when they see social studies on our daily schedule and these books would help bring social studies alive for my students!
This year I teach an energy-filled group of fourth grade students who are hard workers and absolutely love reading.
Our school is like many in our country where budgets are tight and classroom book funds are the first things to be cut. My students are amazing students who deserve great resources that will help them make an important difference in the world.
My Project
With upcoming standards changing drastically to incorporate more nonfiction and link every day reading to science and social studies, it's important that my classroom is able to keep up with those demands. These books will bring social studies alive for all students, regardless of reading level, and change those groans into cheers when social studies is on the schedule. These books will bridge the connection between my students' natural love for reading and the social studies content we learn about throughout the year. Students will become experts in social studies in no time with these new books!
Quality literature and high interest books are a worthy investment, not only in our students but in their future, as well.
A book can bring the world around them alive and create life long learners of important social studies content. Thank you in advance for your generous donations and supporting a worth-while cause in our classroom.
