This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember your favorite book characters growing up and how much you enjoyed reading about them?
I teach first grade at a school that uses inquiry to help our students learn.
The teachers are really committed to helping our students be successful in and out of school. While our community can't always financially help out, they are very supportive and want their kids to be successful! My students love to read and love to learn!
My Project
I would love to get these 6 sets of books that include some of my students' favorite characters to read about! These sets would grow our classroom library so that students would have the books they need to read during independent or partner reading and I would be able to use them for our read alouds too! They are on all different levels which really help since my students read on a wide range of levels.
Please help build our classroom library with these new books!
I want my students to fall in love with some wonderful storybook characters! Your support will help my students grow into great readers!
