My students need 30 new dry erase boards, markers, and erasers. I need chart tablets and chart markers. We need these items to have our daily Morning Message time.

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go," Dr. Seuss said. My students apply this quote in my classroom every day!
I teach in a low-income, Title I funded school district.
My students are so special to me. They don't have a lot but they have huge hearts! My students are grateful for anything and everything. Most of them do not have educational materials at home. They are eager to come to school and learn and view our classroom as a safe place where they can grow and have fun. I am constantly trying to make learning fun and engaging at the same time.
My Project
Obtaining the resources that I need {slates, markers, erasers, chart paper} will help my first graders flourish in reading and writing. They will be given the opportunity to practice their sight words and letter sounds daily with these engaging materials. Morning message is an integral part of our day in elementary school and these materials would make our time so special!
Due to budget cuts in our school district, I have not been able to request anything from my principal for the past 3 years.
We do not have PTO money coming in for teacher materials, either. Everything I purchase for my classroom is out of my own paycheck. It makes it difficult because I want to provide great materials for my students, but at the same time, I have my own bills to pay.
