Help me give my students inside recess activities. We only watch movies and read. Would like more options for our 4th graders. Please help us with this project. They will love the mind puzzles, puzzle cubes, and games.
I work at a large school of around 700 students. We have a heavy population of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch. We also have a heavy population of ADHD and special education students. We are also in the area of the opioid crisis, and we have a huge amount of foster children with multiple problems. Indoor recess is bare minimum usually movie watching. We are wanting to give them extra choices during inside recess. This will help during the cold months or raining days the kids can't go outside. Please help fund our inside recess project to get kids more active in doing other activities at recess. This will benefit over 100 4th grade students. This will get them more active and will create a better learning environment for inside our classrooms.
My Project
Our 4th grade students mostly just watch movies and read at recess. Reading is important, but we do that a lot in the day. We want to give kids more choices for inside recess. They get bored easily.
They would love the mind puzzles, puzzle cubes, coloring books, games etc.
for indoor recess. Some students love mind puzzles and I have personally seen some rubric cube challenges. The water puzzles will also help students with Special Needs. They also like puzzle cubes. The sensory items will help them a lot. I think if they have more choices we will also have less behavior issues in the classroom.
