This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
In my previous school, I used flexible seating to replace all traditional desks and chairs for my scholars. There are so many benefits to flexible seating! The first benefit is comfort and joy, followed by a decrease in maladaptive behaviors in the classroom setting, an increase in blood flow which allows for better cognitive thinking, and lastly, it promotes a warm, and welcoming environment for learning which is great for the kiddos' social-emotional needs! I would love to do this again for my current and future students at this school so they can benefit from flexible seating as well. Thank you so much for considering donating to this project!
