Individual or small group instruction is always best. There are activities that students can learn with, but it would be cool if I could clone my self and teach one group a math or science lesson, while still working with another group on reading. With a Kindle Fire I can do that.
Our students are from a few small rural Utah towns.
They are good kids that know the value of hard work. A few struggle with with learning and there are some that excel beyond the rest. My challenge is to give focused instruction that all students are pushed to do their best.
My Project
We would like to have a Kindle Fire to use in a variety of ways. Our primary focus is to provide a small group of students the ability to watch custom videos that focus on concepts they are learning. This allows me, as a teacher, to change the model of instruction. I will present the lesson on video, students will then start work on the assignment, and then I can spend my time helping the students in need of help, and work with groups that need more instruction.
My goal with this project is to help all students achieve their greatest potential by letting me specialize and focus my instruction based on the individual needs, learning style, and level of the students.
