Exploring Kindergarten with Ms. K

My students need manipulates to use during independent learning time. My students need puzzles to for fine motor skills. My students need blocks for centers.

My Students

Kindergarten is a time for discovery through hands on activities. When students have manipulatives to use, they are able to be engaged in learning. . By having the correct materials, students can push themselves toward success.

My school is in a very rural, low income neighborhood.

The students view school as a place of security. We try our hardest to provide our students with the very best. The students are very full of life and have an eagerness to learn. Our school has a great community feel.

My Project

The students in my class will use these materials to engage themselves in independent activities. I will have the students use puzzles, blocks, and number matching cards during center time. This will allow the student to complete task independently as well as with other students. The students will strengthen their fine motor skills through these activities. The students will also learn how to share, follow directions, and interact with other students when using these materials.

Any of these donations will make a difference in my classroom and my school.

Our students come from families who do not have much extra. They are not allowed to get new things. By providing my classroom with new and innovative manipulatives, they will be able to experience and use things they may have never seen before. The students will be able to try new things and explore.
