My students need a document camera and a projector. Our choir rehearsals and music reading practice will improve if we can project music examples and visual aids.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Students in my choir classes learn how to read music and how to sing with proper vocal techniques. They perform several times during the school year and learn to sing in harmony. The songs they learn and perform represent a variety of styles, cultures, and historical periods.
The students in my classes like to sing, or wanted to learn how to sing better, so they chose Choir as their elective class.
Some are very experienced singers, and others are singing in a choir for the first time. They work together as a team and enjoy performing together.
Our school is diverse in ethnicity and socioeconomic background. Students, teachers and staff are proud to be part of this school.
My Project
With the aid of the document camera and projector, students will be able to view an exact image of the music exercise or score they are learning how to read. This eliminates the need to draw big examples on the board, which can look very different and perhaps confusing for some students. The ability to pause an image and annotate on it improves instruction. Students will improve in identifying, reading, and analyzing the different notes and music symbols more easily.
Integrating more technology into the classroom allows for more close-up modeling, visual aids and videos to be shown, for any topic being taught. This especially benefits visual learners.
Donations to this project will help me deliver more effective instruction.
Students will learn how to read music better. They will develop a deeper appreciation for music, and their confidence in learning new music will grow.
