Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
A typical day in a Kindergarten classroom includes listening to a story on tape or C.D. and sharing ideas and themes.
My students love Kindergarten, they love coming to school each and every day.
They are always engaged and excited about new concepts and learning experiences. They are 5 and 6 year old children and really thrive when they are able to use hands on materials. My students come from low-income homes. Many of my students lack academic support from their families. When the children are at school we try to provide for them emotionally and financially and academically.
My Project
I am asking for a CD player to create a listening and story center for my darling Kindergarten students. Our current CD player no longer works, which means we no longer have access to amazing rhyming stories or fantastic classics from the past. Along with this CD player, I am asking for a set of books on CD to build literacy-building skills. These stories are perfect for reading and singing aloud! I am also asking for rollers filled with ink. These rollers will be perfect to use to illustrate the settings of the read aloud books. These rollers will allow my students to become creative artists by adding perfect stars, polka dots and squiggles to their pictures.
The donations to my classroom will make such a GREAT impact in my students life.
These new materials will support my students as they strive to become young readers and writers. With the mastery of their sight words in the reading books my students will be more prepared for first grade and future academic success.
