My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from very diverse households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.
Many of my students don't have the ability to learn online due to connectivity issues and a lack of resources at home.
Many depend on resources that I am providing to them. Many of my parents are trying to work from home or on the frontlines juggling this all the best that they can for their child. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners.
My Project
By providing consumable math, reading, and writing journals for each of my students to have at home, it provides a sense of reassurance during the coronavirus pandemic and the unknown of our days ahead.
By providing these valuable resources into the hands of each and every child, I can continue teaching the standards and concepts needed to stay on grade level and beyond without hesitation.
The days ahead are uncertain for many. I want to be the consistency in their daily lives no matter where we are learning from whether it be at home or in the classroom.
