Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I dream my painting and then I paint my dream." Art is an important way to express yourself in a positive manner. A typical day in my classroom consists mainly of reading and writing. Our school believes in blended learning, thus we use computers often to enhance the learning the experience.

My students are full of energy.

Thus, they need an outlet to express themselves, hence our request for art supplies. They like to join clubs and participate in extra curricular activities. My school is a middle school and contains grades sixth through eighth. My school is lively, but we are lacking consistent art and music classes.

My Project

I am requesting art materials. Through art my students will be able to create visuals of what they've learned. Many of my students are kinesthetic learners. So, using paint, markers, clay and more will enrich the learning process. I plan on allowing my students to create Sumerian tablets with the requested clay. My students will also be able to create colored poster boards for other projects with the requested paint.

Creativity is essential to the learning process.

If you live in a community where your voice is not heard, where you feel like you don't matter, then the one way to positively express yourself is through art. With the help of your donation my students will feel heard, which is essential for growth, not only academically, but emotionally.
