My Students

Having calculators in a math class is essential to keeping a steady class pace. Calculators are so important for the students to be able to see a graph or a box plot without having to waste lots of class time graphing each individual line.

My students are ready to learn!

They are happy, fun, engaged and excited to be in Math each and every day. My students, as well as all students, deserve the very best education and I try my absolute hardest to make sure that is what they get. My school is an excellent place to work and the perfect place for children to learn and grow. Although the school environment is warm and inviting, the school can not afford to replace calculators. Many of our calculators are very old, slow, have ink blots on them, or do not work at all. Calculators can be very expensive for a school to replace and they aren't always a number one priority when there are so many other things the school needs.

My Project

My students will use the calculators all year long. They will be used for quarterly benchmark testing, and EOG testing at the end of the school year. The students will be able to use the calculators throughout the school year to help them solve problems precisely and quickly. This allows for the pace of the class to move quickly, which is important with all of the content the students need to learn. This is also a graphing calculator, where students will be able to accurately graph a set of data. They will also be able to make box plots and find the mean absolute deviation of a set of data. This will help them to compare graphs/lines/box plots easily as well as being able to make equations and find lines of best fit.

The students will be so appreciative that you care so much about their education. This will help my students solve problems quickly, while still allowing them to understand how the problems are solved. The kids will be able to use working and reliable calculators which are essential in math classroom.
