My students struggle in reading, therefore causing them to avoid reading all together. I have books that sit on selves untouched. What would happen if a Nook found its way on to a book shelf? Would it go untouched for a day?
I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade language arts.
My students have various learning disabilities that hinder their fondness for reading. These E-readers will nurture students love for reading. Students will be given the opportunity to read novels in small groups or by themselves. While reading a variety of books, students will discover the literary elements in each.
My Project
Instead of shying away from reading a chapter, these Nooks will inspire students to find out what happens next in their book! These Nooks will allow students the opportunity to develop a love of reading books. By reading books, they are interested in their confidence in reading will grow as they reveal how wonderful reading truly is.
These Nooks will show students how books can come alive.
Reading alone can change the direction of student's lives! Come with me and discover how a simple E-reader will change student's outlook on reading altogether.
