My Students

Our middle school is a rural school consisting of students from 5 different towns; Buxton, Standish, Frye Island, Limington, and Hollis. Our students come from all walks of life and different economic backgrounds. We have a large percentage of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, and also quite a few students who do not have a stable home to live in. Despite these different backgrounds from all of our students, our students still strive to do their best.

What stands out the most about our students is their desire to take things to the next level.

Our students are resilient and determined to do their best, no matter what their socioeconomic background may be!

My Project

The world is changing, and coding is a major part of many careers... especially those that focus on technology, mathematics, and science. With this project, students will get a hands-on opportunity to learn coding and see their results in real time. Students will take these robots through obstacles and have to overcome challenges in order to find success. Projects such as this help to show our students the importance of perseverance and learning from our mistakes, as well as learning a skill that can lead to successful careers in many different fields. I want to inspire my students to try their best and take on any challenge that comes their way!
