My students need 30 privacy partitions, social studies games, vocabulary stations and other resources for our small group reading block. These stations will improve their academic vocabulary.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

"Wait, what does that word mean again?" Help me end word confusion and inspire my young readers to expand their vocabulary during small group reading stations with differentiated centers.
Statistically speaking, my young scholars have the odds stacked against them.
With nearly ninety five percent of our school qualifying for free or reduced lunch and a high minority, English language learner (ELL) and special education population, on paper, we are fighting an uphill battle. However, I am blessed to work with such a group of hardworking and motivated young scholars who are eager to saturate themselves with knowledge. Due to language barriers, many of our students do not have an academically rich vocabulary which puts them at a disadvantage with their more affluent peers. I am requesting resources that will right this imbalance.
My Project
I am requesting a plethora of vocabulary stations to use during small group reading. Within my grade level, we are differentiating reading groups by reading ability to best meet the needs of all our students. My young scholars will be focusing on comprehension and vocabulary during small groups. Not only will these vocabulary stations align with the Common Core State Standards and help my students on standardized testing, but these activities will also enrich their academic vocabulary and allow my students to more accurately express themselves.
I am requesting various activities and materials to use during my small group literacy block.
These activities will be used by students when they are not meeting with a teacher and discussing literature and informational text. These stations will be used for years to come!
