My Students

Learning is an activity and my kids want to be moving when they learn. In my classroom my students have laptops and they have light microscopes. The problem is they need them working together. My students need the mobility of the laptop with the observation abilities of a powerful microscope.

The great kids I teach have little opportunity for background information due to the economically depressed region we live in.

They love sports and having a good time but have little chance to outside of the school. Our school is great at keeping our kids engaged but always need more tools to help us. Our school is a great school which is constantly fighting to keep our kids learning and being innovative.

My Project

My students are hungry to learn and be engaged but have little opportunity to gain background knowledge due to their circumstances. We will use these microscopes to go mobile throughout our school and community to look at things in new ways. The USB microscopes will attach straight to the laptop and can be transported anywhere we want to take them, including the local conservation area for observations.

It will improve the classroom by allowing the students to experience and see things they have never had the ability to before.

These microscopes have the capacity of 200x magnification which is much more than our current light microscopes. The students will experience things many of them have never seen before.
