A typical day in my classroom is very busy! The class is always working on various assignments while I move around the room and help them when needed. They are constantly learning and growing in every subject area and I know they will only keep improving!
Each student has a different personality as well as different methods of learning.
This means I am always busy making sure each student has what they need in order to be successful! Our school is very small and in a very small town. The majority of the students have grown up together so it is a very tight-knit school. I love having such small classes so that I can get to know my students well throughout the school year. It also allows me to work one-on-one with my students more. This helps them reach more of their learning goals. I love watching them grow and learn throughout the school year. One of my largest goals as a teacher is to provide my students with whatever they need to be successful in school. All the generous donations on Donors Choose helps me achieve this goal! My Project
With all of the hard work my students do each day, it really helps to have some kind of incentive for them to work towards. One of their favorite things is to earn points everyday for good behavior, working hard, and other items. At the end of the month, we have a store with various snacks and prizes. They can use the points they earned to purchase items at the store. After making their purchases, they get a little bit of time to enjoy their new items. I have found that this gives them something to look forward to each month. They want to behave and work hard so they can earn more points, and get more prizes.
My project will give my students some cool new items to work towards.
One of the most popular items in our store is always snacks. Knowing they have a bunch of new snacks they can earn will encourage them to work that much harder and behave that much better. It will also help any students that may not get much to eat at home. They can buy some snacks to take home and eat whenever they need them.
