My students love to write! They love to write both fiction and nonfiction stories. Having the right supplies to publish their work will keep them motivated.
Our school is a Title 1 school that services a large number of low income children.
We also have a large number of ELL students in our school. By having a color printer as well as writing supplies, students will be motivated to publish their writing and share it with others.
My Project
Brochures, narratives, biographies, and news articles are just a few of the writing pieces that students work on in Fourth grade. After working through the writing process and putting hours of work into one writing piece, students are eager to publish their work. Publishing looks different to different children- some children enjoy publishing in book form, some as charts or posters and some want to type and illustrate their books on the computer. A color printer will provide the students a way to print their writing.
Writing is a way for children to share what they know.
Creating competent writers is not an easy task. You can help motivate students to write by donating to this project. A color printer will be very motivating for students as they work to finish their writing pieces.
