My students need the 2 iPads to help increase rigor, incorporate standards, personalize learning and truly transform my classroom into a diverse learning environment.
The iPad is a powerful educational tool with hundreds of teaching applications. The touchpad screen will help students who have a physical disability be able to successfully navigate its educational apps. My students are ready to learn! The iPads will allow my students to become digital learners.
My school is a school wide Title 1 school.
My classroom is very diverse with several ESL students whose parents do not speak English very well. This makes it hard for them to read to their student in English. Many of my children miss the opportunity to read to an adult or have an adult read to them. With the iPad, they can listen to authentic literature being read, explore many different educational programs and learn to be digitally confident.
My Project
Everyone learns differently, with just a few taps, I can customize my students’ iPad with materials that fit their level and learning style. I can differentiate the iPad apps to suit the way my students learn. There is a wide range of content across subjects and levels that make it easy to tailor the iPad for my students at a variety of learning levels. With iPads, you can teach all your students the same lesson — in different ways. The iPads will help all my students to listen to authentic literature independently.
Access to technology is limited in my classroom.
I have 19 students and we have to share 2 iPads currently. When we do small groups or Daily 5 we are in groups of 4 students. My students work together on our 2 iPads, and the addition of 2 more iPads would allow each student to work independently.
