Our middle school is a diverse learning environment with students from all walks of life and backgrounds. Incorporating technology into the curriculum with help prepare students for a digital world and open doors for their futures. These iPads give students exposure to more opportunities.
Our P.E.
students receive a variety of instruction with lifetime wellness as our goal. Students routinely request new and dynamic activities to pique their interests. We are hoping to improve the health and fitness of our kids with an iPad set. This equipment will help get our kids there.
Our middle school is a 6th grade building located in the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. We serve a extraordinarily diverse group of students who love coming to school to learn and to get "moving." In an urban/suburban setting, exposing students to as many activities as possible will only increase the achievement of our kids. These iPads will give student valuable self feedback and not criticism from another person. Students feeling good about themselves will only improve their motivation and self esteem.
My Project
Students will use iPads for self assessment and applications for educational purposes. In PE students will video each other performing various activities and skills. Students will then review their movements, self-assess, and improve their skill. The students will also create new games, movements and skills and self-assess. Students will also use various applications to create graphs, reports, data and expand their skill set.
Donations from this project will improve our classroom by exposing student to new technologies that are becoming increasingly important.
Their lives will be improved by giving them access to apps, devices, and data. This equipment will also help them develop creative thinking and problem solving skills that are crucial in a global world.
