Mr. Sheley from Saint Louis MO is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
We challenge our students to bring their full selves to the class room with discipline, commitment and a desire to improve and grow. Our musical theatre class, for instance, starts with a thorough physical and vocal warm up and then we dive into the work at hand. "Bring your A Game every day!"
We have a dynamic, talented and committed group of urban students that come from a diverse and, often times, economically challenged, background.
Our school is a Public Charter School for the Fine and Performing Arts whose goal it is to help develop and give voice to the talent and dreams of our students.
The use of these microphones not only enhances the ability of the performers in our productions, they also serve as a learning tool by providing technology for our technical students to work directly with so that they can begin to develop the skills and knowledge that they will need as they continue onto University programs and professional work.
Because of the theater’s beauty and intimate size, we have many people interested in renting the space for various occasions and performances.
However, because the space is technologically under developed, the potential income we can generate is as yet unattainable. Any technology that we bring into the building also helps to make The Sun more attractive to would be renters. Most importantly, we want to hear our student's beautiful work and be able to share that with our audiences.
