Spectacular Second Graders Need a Document Camera!

My students need a Lumens DC 125 Ladibug document camera so they can see books, worksheets, projects, and anything else I do, projected onto the SmartBoard.

My Students

Every morning, my students come to the classroom and eat breakfast together like a family. They sit and eat while they talk about what they did last night or their favorite TV show. They love to interact with each other in any way they can.

My students are great thinkers.

They like to ask very creative questions during lessons. They love to do anything hands on. My school is in a high poverty neighborhood, but the school climate is like one big family. We encourage and challenge each other to better ourselves and our school.

My Project

The requested Lumens document camera will greatly increase student engagement and learning in all subject areas. The document camera will project anything onto the Smart Board. When I do a read aloud, the book can be projected onto the Smart Board and all my students can see the page and pictures. During math, I can use counters or blocks to work a problem while they do the exact same steps I am doing. During writing, students can project and can share their stories with the entire class.

The document camera will increase student engagement, learning, and collaboration.

It will help students to be more involved with each lesson I teach. The document camera will be used throughout the school day in every subject.
