My students need a dry erase table, markers, and story kits to use their creativity.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Thomas's classroom raised $450
This project is fully funded
My Students
Students come to my classroom to improve their reading level and skills. My primary focus is to assist students in becoming stronger, more fluent readers and challenge them to increase their vocabulary, comprehension, and creative thinking.
The students who attend my school are so much fun!
These students come from a highly impoverished area and face challenges that others may take for granted. Ninety-five percent of our students are on a free or reduced price lunch program. Having increased resources to encourage their creative thinking, problem solving, and working together would benefit each of my students.
My Project
These materials would allow my students to work as a collaborative team to build their relationships, encourage them to be creative thinkers, and increase their understanding of elements of a story. Students would work in small groups to create their own story. They would utilize the dry erase table to gather ideas, create story boards, and more. Once the students have an idea, they will create a first draft. After peer review and editing, students will then use their story kit to create and illustrate their own book.
This project would benefit each of my students.
They would be able to use their creativity, build relationships, work on team building, and further enhance their writing and story knowledge.
