My students need new girdles for the next football season. Our footballs and wristbands are old and worn out too, so they need to be replaced.

My Students
Coaching in a high-poverty, rural school district can be very challenging. Our coaches and players receive very little monetary support for equipment. It is my hope that the items we receive from this list will greatly benefit the players and coaches.
Our athletes work extremely hard.
Most athletes participate in sports in every season. Since our school is so small, the students know they need to support all sports by being a part of many teams. The average graduating class size is about 40 students, so our athletes are spread thin. Our school does the best it can to provide the necessary equipment and facilities, but the money is just not there all the time.
My Project
The materials requested will be used to help our athletes and coaches during football season. These items will replace worn out or broken equipment from previous seasons. I have also requested girdles to replace part of the old uniforms we have. These girdles will help keep the pads intact, rather than our current system (belts), which rips the pads
I firmly believe that sports are extremely important in transforming children and young adults into well-rounded citizens of society.
By providing newer and better equipment for the coaches and athletes, we will be able to encourage more students to come out for sports. This will, in turn, keep those students driven toward success, rather than possibly getting into trouble outside of school.
