My students need 15 Volley-Lite volleyballs to develop correct techniques and necessary skills.

My Students
Our youth volleyball program at SHS has many aspiring athletes, but we are limited on funding to purchase necessary equipment. We practice with balls that are old and too heavy for athletes to develop the correct techniques needed to become really great players.
The students who play on our volleyball teams have all the heart in the world.
They devote many hours of their time to practice in order to become seasoned athletes. For many of these students, this dream is what brings them to school. Without a sport like volleyball to keep them involved, their attendance would be sporadic at best. They also have to keep their grades up in order to play sports, so volleyball develops scholars as well as athletes.
My Project
We will use these volley-lites to properly develop techniques that the students need to be successful athletes. The equipment and balls we have now are inappropriate for students to learn proper form and execution of volleyball skills, such as serving, passing, and setting. These lighter balls will also bolster their confidence as many of the athletes are struggling with the heavier balls.
This project would make a difference in the self-confidence of our volleyball athletes.
With these lighter volleyballs, the students will learn proper technique and be successful in executing those techniques. This equipment will turn us into a better, more competitive team and allow us to compete on the same level as the teams we compete against.
