My students have been busy learning and working hard! During the year they have used up most of our classroom materials. We are almost completely out of paper, pencils, and other school supplies that we need daily.
I work in a city school where many students are English Language Learners and most come from lower socio-economic classes.
Almost all students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Most families cannot afford to buy their children school supplies.
My Project
At the beginning of the year many students were unable to provide their own school supplies. A few students brought extra supplies and we were able to get some donations, so we have been sharing our school materials with each other. Unfortunately, we have already used up-most of the items that we need for everyday use--and there are still several months of school left! I am requesting some of the most basic supplies that we use on a daily basis. Pencils, paper, markers, and pens will be used daily for literacy and math activities. Glue sticks and scissors will help during lessons that involve cutting and gluing.
Your donation will make it easier for my students to learn.
We need paper, pencils, notebooks, markers, and pens to continue our work in third grade. Glue sticks and scissors will make it possible for us to do more engaging projects.
