My Students
At the end of the year, I would like my students to be able to explain to me how to work through each concept that we've learned throughout the year. My biggest challenge getting them there is with the lack of math manipulatives we have access to at our school.
Our school is situated in a very small town with only about 55 students in this grade, which has enabled them to become very close to one another.
These students are very smart, lovable, and well mannered, but need to be able to get more hands on learning.
My Project
My students need math manipulatives to get a more hands-on approach which will help them grasp the concepts better. A cart will help to keep all of our supplies organized. By receiving these resources to use in the classroom, my students will be able to get a more hands on approach with place value and fractions, along with many other things while keeping it all accounted for and organized in a cart specifically for those items.
Donations to this project will help improve my classroom by providing hands on/visual approaches to learning concepts.
By being able to have the students actually touch and see what we're learning will make the concept so much easier for them to comprehend.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
