My students need an iPad and case for their listening station so they can listen to books.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Webb's classroom raised $569
This project is fully funded
My Students
We start out our day with the Daily 5. This is a time where the students can choose their own reading and writing activities. While the students are working on their independent activity I am able to work with small groups. This allows the students to become better readers and writers.
Our school is located in rural Missouri.
We have one classroom for each grade level. Our class sizes are between 8 and 18. We have a lot of farm families and small town values. This creates a close culture of family, pride, and support! Our students come to school eager to learn. We promote character education which also creates a positive learning environment.
My Project
My students will be able to use the iPads during their Daily 5 time. During the Daily 5 students are working on reading and writing. Our iPad will be used as a listening station. I will download books to the iPad and my students will be able to enjoy a story by listening to an audio version. Students will love listening to stories. This activity will enhance their reading skills because they will be able to follow along with a story as they hear it.
Donating to this project will improve our classroom by adding another literacy station.
I want to provide my students with a literacy rich environment. Adding an iPad opens many new possibilities to learn reading and writing skills beginning with our listening station! Students will gain independence and feel confident that they are becoming a better reader when listening to their stories!
