My typical day is working with students that come from different countries and speak several languages. My small groups can have up to 5 different languages in just one group.
My students are hard working and dedicated to learn the English language.
We practice speaking, writing, listening and reading skills every day. My school is a Title I building in the Kansas City Public Schools. Being a Title 1 building all kids receive free breakfast and lunch. School supplies are usually bought by staff members or donated bylocal charities
My Project
The resources I am asking for are small group instruction and also learning centers. The writing resources will help them improve their writing objectives in order to help them improve their score on state tests. I am asking for resources to also help my new comer students who have an educational background to write a proper sentence about a certain topic.
My goal for my ELL students is to become better writers.
Writing is difficult for English Language Learners to develop. It's hard for them to write and also make sure grammar and punctuation is correct as well. We can use the donations to the practice skills before they can write independently. Writing needs to have a purpose and with the right resources we can be successful writers.
