Student movement and exercise is very important in schools. I have the pleasure of working with grades K-5 for physical education classes. We are a small, low income school district in need of some supplies. The budget given was small and well spent but we still need new items.
Our school is small, housing only about 275 Kdg-5th grade students.
All kids love to come to PE and I get to help in making that fun for them. Students love being introduced to new games and new equipment. They are begging for new equipment, so I am asking for more scooters to replace our broken ones as well as a ball cart to transfer balls to the gym. We are also in need of different balls, as they get lost or stolen throughout the year.
My Project
The entire school used the equipment during my PE classes and that means that equipment is always breaking or being worn out. I am asking for two sets of scooters, a ball cart to house equipment, four indoor volleyballs, and 2 soccer balls. With this new equipment, all students will have an opportunity to participate during PE class instead of standing and waiting to have a turn. The students will be able to learn the rules of indoor volleyball while using the new balls. They will also be able to practice their soccer skills during their weekly PE class. Also, my students will be able to utilize new scooters and not broken ones losing wheels. Scooters teach balance and agility as well as develop strength. They will also be able to play with a more variety of balls that I can bring to the gym using this new cart.
Your donations will improve the quality of equipment in my gym.
It will replace our broken scooters. Also, many balls get lost or stuck in the rafters throughout the year. So, your donation will help supply more balls for gym use. The ball cart will bee beneficial in transporting balls to and from the gym.
