Every morning in the library there are over 100 students that come to read, chat, work on homework, use computers and visit with friends. Shelf leaders are often seen working hard organizing their shelves, dusting and making sure their shelf looks nice during this time.
The students that are shelf leaders are hard working and dedicated students.
They enjoy having a "job" in the library and help to make the library an organized and clean place to be. The students volunteer to become shelf leaders. They must come once a week during the school day to organize, check on and dust their shelf that they are in charge of. The students take their work seriously and try to keep the library a clean and organized place.
My Project
I've had 150 students this year volunteer to become shelf leaders. As a thank you for their hard work, I would like to put on a shelf leader celebration. The students will receive a certificate praising them for their work all year with their shelf. They will also receive a bookmark of their choice as a thank you. For the students that have never missed a week maintaining their shelf, they will also receive a reading light.
Your donation to this project will be my shelf leader celebration possible.
Students will feel special to have their hard work all year acknowledged as well as love that they can keep a bookmark of their choice as a thank you!
