My students need two iPads to add to the technology station. My students need earphones to use at my technology station as well as my listening station.
A typical day in my classroom consists of having fun while learning at the same time. Who says learning can't be fun? We love to move around and we love to think "outside" the box.
My students are eager to learn new things.
They are smart and love to be challenged but my school consists of students which come from low income families. Therefore, many of my students do not get the opportunity to use technology at home. If they do, it's certainly not for the benefit of writing.
My Project
I have introduced "Kidblog" to my classroom, but only have two working computers. I would like two additional resources to add to my technology station.
This program offers a kid-friendly publishing experience that is applicable to any k-12 student. Teachers are able to efficiently manage all posts and comments through a dashboard which is easy to use. My students are motivated to write for their peers and also engage in each writing piece published by the students. The students practice free writing as well as answer writing prompts that I post.
This program was built by teachers for teachers. I have been able to engage my students in the process of typing as well as writing. They are learning pre-writing, drafting, editing, publishing and commenting. This is my second year incorporating this program, and I plan to continue as long as my students are motivated to write.
I feel that donations to this project will allow more of my students to participate for longer times throughout the day.

My students will love the opportunity to engage in their writing as well as others. Many of my students do not get this opportunity to use technology at home and therefore will thoroughly enjoy using it in our classroom.
