Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students that I have are a diverse group of young minded individuals who come from a very diverse backgrounds. Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.

Each and everyone of them have unique personalities and creative imaginations.

They love to read books of all different genres and with this classroom library they will have the opportunity to gain a stronger love of reading. The school that they come from has a very strong academic background and reading is a large component of that. This library will benefit the entire school, and be used well into the future.

My Project

With these books, and leveled readers my students will be able participate in guided reading and shared reading of all genres. They will open their minds, build their fluency and encourage them to read more. They will learn to have confidence in themselves as learners and be able to share with others about what they are reading.

With the donations from this project will help provide the students at my school with a wealth of books and shared reading materials.

They will be able to have guided reading that will support them in building fluency and reading comprehension. It will help them to continue in their learning well into the future and become outstanding citizens in the world.
