I want my students to have a real understanding of mathematics and how it relates to the real world. I have many students that have a hard time picturing how math works, or why it works the way it does.
Our school is in a rural, low income area.
We have a new facility, but lacking in technology. We have great students who are willing and ready to learn. They take their education seriously and strive to better themselves through their education and serving their community.
My Project
My students need an iPad to interact with their learning. My students will be able to visualize and understand how graphs and shapes can transform. They will be able to create and manipulate shapes and graphs and share their work with the teacher as well as their classmates. With being able to visualize their work they will have a better understanding and therefore can apply their learning.
Donations to this project will improve my student's ability to comprehend transformations and how they work.
It will allow for open discussions as they manipulate their shapes and graphs.
