My students need a classroom set of headphones with easy-to-clean ear pads, individual storage bags, compatibility with iPads and computers, and a large storage bin.

My Students

When looking at American education, one would immediately notice that technology has become more and more prominent and crucial to our students' learning. As a primary grade teacher, I want to provide my students with as many opportunities for interaction with this technology as possible.

My students are excited about learning, especially when they are learning with technology.

As someone who did not spend a lot of time with technology as a young child, I am truly inspired by their eagerness to interact with it every day. They look forward to working with technology every week as they explore some of our favorite educational sites/apps. I want nothing more than to continue fueling that drive to learn and be successful with the technology. I teach in a school with nearly 60% receiving free or reduced lunch, and, unfortunately due to cost, my students do not always have access to materials or technology that could greatly impact their learning. With your help, I can enhance their learning experience and provide them with quality opportunities that they may not receive otherwise.

My Project

With a class set of reliable, durable, and compatible headphones, my students will be able to work daily on computer literacy skills and practice several online activities without the distractions of other students' online experiences. Students will work on typing sight words, playing educational games such as Greg Tang Math, Study Island, and Spelling City, and creating their own tech-based projects to share with the class. Throughout these activities, the headphones will provide necessary read-aloud assistance, will enhance the interactive qualities of the various websites, and will minimize distractions from others during valuable learning time.

By supporting my project, you will be supporting my students' uninterrupted, assisted exploration with technology!

They are so determined to improve themselves as learners and are extremely motivated by technology and computer-based activities. This class set of headphones will foster this motivation and allow my students to have more focused, effective interactions with technology than they have previously received. I am confident that these materials will impact their learning greatly!
