My Students
There is not a typical day in my classroom. My classroom consist of multi-handicapped students that need constant redirection, positive reinforcement and their basic needs met.
Each student in my classroom is unique with their own disabilities.
Since my students have multiple disabilities and are non-verbal, they work on basic functional skills and different way to communicate. Currently, I am working with my students on positive behavior and a way for them to communicate their wants and needs through picture exchange.
My Project
The requested snacks will be used to reinforce positive behavior on a time interval schedule. The snacks will also be used as reinforcement for when students positively comply with request such as sitting in their chair for work. The resources will also be used with teaching communication through the use of a picture exchange program.
I'm hoping that it will help with teaching my students there is way for them to communicate their wants and needs.
Also, help reinforce the positive behaviors and diminish the negative behaviors.
