My students need a cart for organizing center supplies. My students will need dice, cards, and games for individual and partner interaction for success in math skills.
My students and I use formal and informal activities in our daily routine. I want my students to be successful with multiplication facts/skills. Students need interaction, hands-on materials, and teacher and peer approval. I want my students to be able to have confidence in themselves, and say I LOVE math!
My 3rd graders are awesome.
They are so eager to learn and be loved. I love to see the sparkle in their eyes when they have enjoyed our lesson of the day. We are a small, rural school. Everyone knows everyone else and all of my students are like a little family. The students helpful, and very caring. Our school and staff want the best for our students, but sometimes our students don't always have the funding for school supplies and extra classroom needs. As a teacher, I often spend from my own pocket and purchase many materials and supplies, as well. During the school hours I feel my students are like my own children and I would do anything for them in order for them to be successful and cared for.
My Project
My students will be using whiteboards for number of the day review skills and dice for playing math skill games. We have a couple activities that the students really love. The clipboards will be used in small groups, as well as the cards, dice, whiteboards, and Hot Dots. The rolling organizer will be used by the students to organize their supplies and allow them to feel independent and comfortable with selecting the activities that will be the most beneficial for themselves, and allow them the opportunity to enjoy and have fun while learning.
This donation will greatly improve our classroom because it will allow my students more choices to choose from, classroom organization, and eagerness to learn and try something new.
I feel the things I have chosen will allow my students to have a confidence boost and encourage them to focus, work hard individually, be a good partner to others, and just have fun with math.
