Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our days are very busy. We start with laptops while the teacher pulls small groups and individuals for RtI time. I feel bad because we do not have dependable headphones so all the students can listen and learn and display their work.
My students are from many countries and their levels of learning and understanding are varied.
They are energetic and excited about learning. Most come from low income families and rely on the school and classroom to supply their needs. Our school is big and very diversified.
My students love doing hands-on projects. They have learned to document these projects by taking pictures and displaying them about the room. They also use these pictures to create personal portfolios to share with their families and document their work.
My Project
These headphones will be used so that students can be confident in engaging with the programs our districts have put in place to make them reach their highest potential.
Being able to print the pictures they take of the projects they create for creating personal portfolios and have them in color. These will be displayed for the administration to view and parents when they visit our room.
Helping the students take pride in their work, being able to share with each other and their families would help the confidence in these students.
Seeing what they can accomplish and being able to be responsible for their own end product will make a lot of difference with each child.
