My students need 5 iPad minis, Zagg Keyboard Cases, headphones, and a charging station for effective technology integration to increase student engagement and achievement.

This quotes summarizes my feelings about the necessity of effective technology integration in the elementary classroom. Students need consistent access to technology and all its benefits.
"The Dream Team" is a classroom community full of respectful students who care about each other and strive to work as a team to help each other achieve their goals and do their best.
They believe in the power of teamwork and cooperate on a daily basis to achieve collaborative goals! Students enjoy cooperative learning activities and technology-rich lessons. They are avid readers, writers, and problem solvers. They enjoy creating their own learning and have achieved more through an inquiry based approach to teaching.
Most students have access to the Internet at home, but our school access is limited. Currently, we only have twenty outdated working computers to use in a school with over 425 students. The lack of quality technology makes inquiry based, real-world, hands-on learning almost impossible.
"The Dream Team" needs technology to meet the increased demands of the ever changing world. Without access, students will be ill-prepared for a technology-rich workplace. My students need 5 iPad minis, Zagg Keyboard Cases, headphones, and a charging station.
My Project
With the addition of these iPads, headphones, and keyboards, students will participate in more real-world, problem-based learning activities. Students will be driven to discover and research. They will collaborate and cooperate to reach a common, achievable goal. When a problem is identified, students will have access to necessary tools to help them research and locate plausible solutions. They will then use this information to make decisions and determine outcomes. The learning will be shared by all, and students will be responsible for teaching others what they have learned! Students will be engaged, excited learners, who are self-directed and motivated. They will use technology to complete real-world tasks and will gain valuable knowledge on designing and sharing presentations.
The iPads will be safe and readily available with the charging station and dock. I truly believe that the use of technology will engage all learners and increase their level of achievement.
I want to teach in an inquiry based, technology-rich classroom.
I have teaching experience in a classroom where technology was a part of every day and every lesson. Technology helped me be a more effective, dynamic teacher. Students came excited about learning and motivated to do the hard work daily. I witnessed increased achievement levels and a desire to excel. I want this same opportunity for my current students! They deserve access to the same valuable resources.
