My students need four pillows for a comfortable place to get cozy with a good book in our reading area!

My Students

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go." I have this quote in my reading center as students read a variety of books all year long in the center.

Our school is A Leader In Me school.

We work together with the students to instill leadership qualities at every grade level. My first graders are an enthusiastic group this year. Their reading has already grown so much and I am thrilled to see these skills continue to get stronger. I love to see students helping each other throughout the day. Many students will partner read, or read in groups or even help each other when one might be struggling to read. I encourage a variety of ways to read throughout the day with each other.

My Project

I have a reading center in my classroom. Students may go to that center to read to self. They choose books that they are interested in to read and they read on the carpet area. I would love to have a comfortable place for them to read and these pillows look like something they would enjoy using each day!

These pillows help students to want go to an area and to read.

Something so small can make a big difference to a child! I can just picture the children wanting to get a book and go to this comfortable setting to read! It makes me excited just thinking about it!
