Our school has Universal Breakfast so that every child can start the day with a healthy and free breakfast. This is a great way to start the day for students. Students are eager to please and learn best when they can make connections with their learning. Art is a great avenue to meet the requirements of many Math topics that must be covered in fourth grade.
My Project
Imagine being a child again. Looking through your Math book and wondering how you would ever master everything that you needed to learn. Now imagine learning those Math skills in a hands on way while creating art projects. Imagine learning geometry through origami, mastering fractions with the use of Legos and being efficient with Multiplication facts through song. These are just a few ways that these materials will be helpful in our classroom.
Shining Stars are hard workers.
They are learners who like to be engaged in their activities. By teaching Math through Art, these students will be able to make a connection in their learning. When learning is meaningful it will stick with students and become a skill that they will master.
