My Students
Small classrooms encourage more student interaction. As a result, small classrooms build love and character. However, they also build CLUTTER! This is unfortunately what is happening in our classroom. Please help us make more space for learning!
Hello everyone!
I am a fourth grade teacher working for a high poverty school district located in rural mid-Missouri. Our small elementary school provides education to a little over 400 students (K-4).
My classroom consists of 21 bright and enthusiastic learners. Every morning we start the day off with a chant. Together we all shout, "I am smart! I am very smart! The harder I work, the smarter I get!" Throughout the day, this chant sticks with my students. They are an extremely hard-working group of students who enjoy working with partners and in groups. They love working with technology. Lastly, they go crazy when they are given the opportunity to leave their seats and move around! (This is where you come in!)
My Project
We are running out of room! Unfortunately, our classroom does not have a closet or cabinets. As a result, we are running out of places to store our classroom supplies. I do have a few narrow shelves that I have crammed as full as possible. However, I fear placing anything else on them would make them a safety hazard! As a result, I have been using black crates (which aren't much safer) as a way to store our materials. This can only be a temporary fix seeing as the crates are already bowing. As a result, we are in desperate need of a sturdy and safe place in which to store our materials!
Your donation will allow us to purchase a much needed cabinet.
This cabinet will be large enough to store a majority of our materials and will be sturdy enough to keep the students safe! This cabinet will also free up some much needed space in our classroom! As a result, we will be able to spread out during centers and group activities. Please help add storage, safety, and space to our classroom!
