This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My goal as a high school science teacher was to get students to love science! All it takes is that one teacher that made learning a subject fun and exciting...and I want to be that teacher. We can all be smarter together! My students are eager to learn about science and I am eager to teach them.

My students are very curious and tech savvy.

They enjoy my science class very much and are attentive and on time. My students only challenge is the old technology we have them working with, hardly works and often will not connect to Internet. My students have a want to learn and I would love to provide them with every opportunity possible to learn in the most efficient way.

My Project

My Biology students will use these new tablets to go onto "teacher approved" websites that I have been able to learn about during my professional development sessions. These sites will allow my students to visually see, hear, and interactively experience different lessons that are to be learned. My students are tangible and visual learners who know how to use technology, just do not have it at their disposal.

The donations to this project will allow my students to take virtual tours, play interactive games, create anchor charts and concept mapping.

My students will be able to surf the web for visual representations, images, and real-life examples of the most recent findings and information.
